Our Story
In Australia, there is a little town called Baranduda which in the local Aboriginal language means Water Rat.
It is a beautiful part of Australia with vivid starry nights, rocky mountain tracks and rapid alpine streams; perfect for adventure, motorcycling, and all outdoor sporting activities. Although in the harsh climate; hot weather and floods are common. Motorcycle Boots, work boots, and shoes get wet and sweaty and smelly in a very short time.
To solve this problem, the Water Rat Boot dryer company was founded by Colin Anderson a local engineer with 30 years in mechanical design.
Our Product
The Water Rat Boot Dryer was developed to be used on-the-go. It is USB powered and can be taken anywhere your car, or battery pack can go. The Water Rat Boot Dryer can also be used with your existing phone charger, your pick-up, in an RV, a camp site, or at home.
With the option to use a solar battery charger, you can even go 100% green, and use smart solar to dry your boots and reduce your carbon footprint!
The design of the Dryer is both portable and adjustable. It is able to to dry all sorts of boots and shoes, both long and short. It Is our hope that you find creative ways to dry all your expensive footwear, gloves, helmets and other accessories to keep them in pristine condition and ready for the next adventure.
The Water Rat Boot Dryer works by drawing in the fresh air and gently changing out the stale air inside the boot. This process quickly dries the boot, from very-wet to dry overnight, or from sweaty to dry in an hour or over your lunch break on the trail. Not using additional heat makes the drying gentle on leather materials and also reduces power consumption which is great for the environment and reduces energy requirements for the power supply so small batteries can be used.
